occupé is the french word for busy.
That pretty much describes my life right now.
My schedule has been busy recently, there are things to do, places to go, people to visit...the list goes on and on. Often I pause for a minute and wish I could slow every thing down for a bit, to just take the time to relish and enjoy each and every second of life. Its always those little things that go by so quickly that are what really makes life worth living.
My big brother took me out for granitas at a coffee shop in the town square last night.
We talked about our future, goals and things we want to do in the years to come. There was a little ache in the back of my heart as we talked, it was a bittersweet feeling...a knowledge of knowing that adulthood is right around the corner and the inner child within us is waving goodbye. That another chapter of life is finished.

Its an exciting thought, and I am looking forward to what the future may hold...but for now, I don't want to rush through life, focusing on only what is ahead. I don't want to always be busy and in a hurry on what to do next...I just want to seize and live the moment.

Do you ever find yourself caught up with life?

lovely post; i agree with it all. sometimes life seems to pass by so fast, when what we really need to do is enjoy these few years.(:

Totally agree. It feels crazy when you're already thinking about colleges, and what you want to be, stuff like that. Slow down, life!
Oh definitely. Once I get older I know I'll be totally scary to myself. I can get so busy that I don't take a minute to watch the clouds move and to enjoy the breeze and sun on my face. And I don't want to leave that... I'll just pray for some slow days :) And I hope you can slow down sometimes too! Have a great day! Sierra
Keep Growing Beautiful♥ (Cause You Are!)
ALL the time! It's as if I'm caught in this time vortex, where everything else is going at a normal pace for the rest of the world, yet for me I see it at twice- even three times- the speed! It's so frustrating and frightening at times!
A verse that helps me put things into perspective is the beginning of Psalms 31:14, which says "My times are in thy hand."
Something about that verse always helps me pause and trust Him more.
Anywho, I'm really craving granitas now. And it looks like Crouton can behave himself sometimes, and even act like a nice, elder brother! (That *is* Crouton, right?)
I with ya Mary. I'm turning 17 tomorrow, which is a scary thought. One more year and I'll be 18. This fall,I'm hoping to get win a scholarship to a special school.... Life is just a scary excitment when your our age isn't Mary?! Nice post and I LOVE your sweater/jacket that your wearing. ;)
These few recent years seems to be going by a lot faster than the others. I hope this year goes by a lot slower! January already just flew by! I know what you mean by, that adulthood is right around the corner. I am trying to stay young as long as possible! =)
Love it!
